THE RETURN OF THE NATIVE

The blank screen smiles mercilessly at me with a tinge of contempt.Write something you old fart,it commands ,something or anythingor atleast nothing.But nothing happens.My hands hesitates.The alphabets confuse me .What has gone wrong . Here I am sitting like a constipated man in the toilet waiting for the earthquake to come.Long time no shit ,I mean no blog.Its already 6 months since the last one.By this time even Ganguli has come back to the team.Why cant I? I phone my mentor ,my coach that idiotic fellow from Pune “why the hell did u introduce me to this abominal world you---- you---son o a b.What harm have I done”.The laughter from the other end infuriates me and to hell it doesn’t stop. “Hey you are finished once for all,and it took you so long to notice.Accept the fact and resign.May your soul rest in peace so also your so called fans rest.Why are you pestering me when you cannot deliver the goods ..First of all let me confess,you never had the skills or talent for this form of art.It was only to get you of my back that I initiated you,mind you it was rather my selfishness to get you engaged ,may be to divert your attention from the crisis at hand that I gave u the lollipop,and u fool fell for it .Anyway sorry guy!the end has to come ,the great fall is inevitable and accept with grace and retire”
.I was dumbfounded.No I just cannot accept defeat,it has never been the case with me and it never will be. I can falter a bit ,stumble or even an occasional fall never surprise me .I usually lie low allowing the waves to pass over and once the bear phase is over ,I bounce back with a vengeance .I have to go back to the nets and keep practicing .and everything will fall in place .YOU have to be patient and keep working and its only a matter of time,I remind myself .
But what if the mind is dry and imaginations vanish,when that anguishness doesn’t take over resulting in the avalanche of words flooding from the heart to the tip of your fingers?Write,write and again write,no other way to exercise ur mind and dream..I cannot let my mentor win at any cost .I will prove him wrong..He has awakened a sleeping giant .
